Phepson Red Linus is a bull that we've used ourselves. He is out of Phepson Lynx who is a consistent breeder coming back to first cycle this year with a lovely heifer calf. Linus offers moderate frame with a bit more performance from the modern Angus lines.

Cabalva Ash is out of one of our best cow families. Ash was bought back from our partner breeder Geraint Powell. Ash is out of Phepson Aphrodit and by Phepson Elite. Phepson Aphrodit has been a first cycle breeder every year.

Phepson Jupiter Z311
Phepson Jupiter is out of a favourite cow of ours, Phepson Jane and by Phepson Red Masterplan so will be a red gene carrier.
Phepson Jane had her first calf in June in the second cycle as a heifer and then has been a first cycle breeder for her subsequent four calves gaining a month on her first calf. Red Masterplan is a son of Dunlouise Red Eddard who goes back to Evesund of Dupplin, "the great fixer of udders".

Why do we look at the calving record of each cow?
By looking at the calving record of each cow, we can see which animals bred in the first or second cycle each year. We can also see if any animals gain time through their breeding life. For example, if they have their first calf in July, subsequent calf in June and then are first cycle breeders in May from then on, it shows that the animal is inherently fertile in our grass-fed production system.
